The importance of buying locally
We were sad to see the closing of Beaver's Band Box's final store. Some of the comments in the AZstarnet online article about the closure said that there were "No more actual bricks & mortar music stores. Everything is Internet now."
We know that music will be important to people for the foreseeable future. We also believe that there is a value to touching, playing, and renting an instrument before making a large investment. IMC continues our commitment to Tucson to provide the best possible service, selection and prices.
We commend you for choosing a local music store over an outa-state company... and we'll do our part by earning that business and giving you a reason to chose IMC over the web.
Tucson-owned stores employ Tucson people who then will spend money in Southern AZ. This will then support other local stores and services in the area. Music stores give local music teachers a place to teach, check out new products and learn about upcoming job openings in districts. Local music stores can repair your instruments. Money spent in music stores go into the local tax base will go to support AZ schools and libraries and road projects... it's a happy cycle.
Buying local does make a difference... and does keep brick and mortar stores open.
