Myth: We will charge as much as we can.
Truth: We will only recommend the work that needs to be done… really. It is a dis-service to the customer and the student to not fix all of the problems that the horn has and to just fix what they think is wrong with it. Our goal is to give the customer a horn the plays the best it can.

We won’t fix things that don’t need to be fixed. Additionally, we will always attempt to repair the instrument so that it plays great. This philosophy permeates our repair area.
We provide string instrument repairs, we have a woodwind specialist, we have 2 brass repair technicians and we have a guitar repair and set up technician. We also do drum repairs and head replacement.
We do house-calls (or school-calls) if the instruments are too big to transport... Like the timpani in the picture. We traveled to the school, fixed the broken mechanisms, changed the heads and tuned them up. Pretty sure no other music store in Tucson provides this service.
For schools, we often pick up and deliver. We will usually travel out if you have a few instruments to pick up, then deliver them repaired. Need your sousaphones chem cleaned... We do that.
We have done advanced modifications to instruments as well. We’ve added brass patches for extra mass on a high end trumpet and we’ve replaced bells on tubas. Contact us for a quote.
Loaner instruments may be available when your horn is in the shop. It is typically $10, and is no charge for current renters with TDR coverage.
