Elias Anderson

he/him/his

Teaches: Clarinet, Saxophone, & Voice

Having grown up in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Elias established an early love of music. He performed in band and choir throughout his school days whether with the marching band, the symphonic band, the jazz band, the concert choir, the chamber choir, or the local youth symphony.

This love of music motivated him to pursue a career in music that started with a bachelors degree in music education from the University of Idaho with a double emphasis in instrumental and vocal music education. Deciding that one degree wasn’t enough, he then went on to study at the University of Southern Mississippi where he completed a masters degree in clarinet performance while also studying both choral and instrumental conducting. He now finds himself in Tucson pursuing a doctorate in clarinet performance at the University of Arizona and currently serves as the graduate teaching assistant for the clarinet studio.

With his journey all across the country, Elias has ample experience teaching clarinet as well as voice and saxophone. He is also currently the second clarinetist for the Sierra Vista Symphony Orchestra.

When he is not playing or teaching, Elias loves to spend time with his wife and dog, watching movies and trying all of the exceptional food that the Tucson area has to offer.
