Jesús Jacquez is a long-time musician, educator, and conductor. Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Jesús attended University High School and has held positions teaching in Vail School District and Tucson Unified School District. Having received a triple major in Music Education, Finance, and Entrepreneurship with minors in Conducting, Business Administration, and Spanish from the University of Arizona, Jesús has worked in a variety of educational and musical roles.
Some of his experience includes: Data Entry and Analysis for a Charter School Network (The Academies of Math and Science), Curriculum Building and Teacher Coaching
High School Band, Orchestra, and Choir Directing
Music Directing for "Heathers" "Cry-Baby the Musical" and "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,"
Conducting for the SaddleBrooke Winds and Strings,
Performing with Arizona Symphonic Winds, Sonora Winds, and Tucson Concert Band on various instruments.
90% of his time is spent practicing clarinet, flute, bassoon, saxophone, or a variety of the auxiliary instruments he owns, but the other 10% of the time he enjoys the company of his wife and two dogs as they make use of any of his many collections of media. Over the years he has accumulated movies, video games, board games, and physical copies of music that number in the hundreds of thousands, including media lost to time and otherwise no longer found.
