How to Book Music Box Lounge [Tucson Bar]

The Music Box Lounge is "Easy to Find, Hard to Leave." Dive bar vibes with a pool table, patio, and lots of live music, the Music Box Lounge is the perfect place to pull up a stool, sip on a bear, and take in some tunes.

We asked Melissa McBride (Manager) how to book a show at Music Box Lounge, and here's what we learned:

What is the best way to get in contact with you about booking?

The best way to get in contact for booking would be to email me directly at Drinkup@muiscboxlounge.com or through our website.

Do you require a link to music the performer/band makes?

I do not require a link, but it is helpful in

deciding if it will be good fit. A description of what type of music they play works for me as well.

Do you require a media package?

No media package is required, but social media is a plus when trying to promote the show.

Should a performer/band reach out to you directly, or do you prefer managers to contact you?

I am fine with either one, I just like to coordinate with one person when setting up a show.

What can performers/bands expect in terms of payment?

In terms of payment, that varies on the day. Sunday-Tuesday is $60 + 10% of the bar. Friday’s base starts at $100 + 10% of the bar sales.

How far out should performers/bands reach out about booking?

I book at least a month out on Sunday-Tuesdays and usually about 2 months out for Fridays.

Are performers required to fill the rest of the bill?

Fridays are the only day that have multiple acts, but yes the artist is responsible for recruiting their own support.

Are performers directly required to sell tickets ahead of time?

All of our shows are currently FREE, but promotion on their social media is definitely a must!
